Individual Therapy

I offer individual therapy for adolescents and adults seeking therapy regarding many different areas, including depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, relationship issues, adjustment difficulties, identity development, and trauma.

I have extensive clinical experience working with young adult and college aged individuals as they navigate their transition into adulthood. Moreover, I have worked closely with and advocated for different LGBTQ+ communities and have experience and training working with issues related to gender and sexuality.

I utilize an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I tailor the treatment depending on your needs. In doing so, I draw upon utilizing different therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and attachment based therapy.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy can be a meaningful way to gain perspective, deepen understanding, or work through a difficult moment or event within a relationship.

Sometimes, after a betrayal or a period of disconnection or mistrust, couples therapy can be a space where a couple can navigate painful feelings in a safe and containing space. â€‹

At other times, there may not be a crisis, but couples may seek therapy to improve their communication, increase intimacy, or to break negative patterns of interacting.

Couples therapy may also be useful to those who are planning a marriage, so that they may better know one another. Likewise, therapy can also help a couple determine if marriage is a shared next step.

Group Therapy

I currently lead a once weekly interpersonal process group. I recommend group therapy when clients want to improve their relational lives, from romantic partnerships to friendships to professional connections.  Interactions among group members allow you to deepen your understanding of how you relate to others.  Through honest yet supportive feedback, you learn what you do or say that draws others to you versus what you may do, often unknowingly, that keeps them at a distance.  You will learn how to evoke care and concern from others rather than generate mistrust or conflict.  Group work strengthens communications skills, trust, conflict management and healthy risk taking. It will strengthen your “real world” relationships and is a wonderful adjunct to individual therapy.
